As Styles stated, Cinco "were the ones who had the concept of highlighting the cover in 1988." as many fans probably noticed that the All Madden Edition is very similar to the very first John Madden Football cover from about three decades ago.
"They needed my interpretation, highlighting Coach Madden, remixing that cover to a degree," Styles explained. "They noticed, EA and Cinco. Their attention to detail was as good is paying close attention to the work I do, they've noticed that I employ many lines of gestural expression, a lot of bold color... They were able to see that my work resembled method Coach used to perform his play lines when he was going through some of the plays and they were just like 'Aw man, he's just perfect to do the work!"
When he announced The cover Styles shared his fond memories of participating in Madden games with other kids when he was younger , as his work has become part of that legacy. Chuck Styles also confirmed something that might not come as an issue for many since the choice of John Madden was essentially universal and everyone who worked at EA and Cinco agreeing that he was the only choice this year.
