The Temperature Transmitter and sensors project presented here is an easy temperature monitoring system that uses one-wire digital temperature sensor and Arduino to monitor the room or industrial environment temperature in real time.Temperature TransmittersPressure Transmitters generally use a thermocouple or a resistance temperature detector (RTD) as the sensing element to measure temperature.A thermocouple is built from two different metals that are joined together at one end, creating a junction. When heated, the junction produces a voltage that can be correlated back to the temperature. The type of metal used in the construction of the thermocouple determines the temperature range and accuracy of the sensor. Copper/constantan, for example, is used for lower temperature applications, while platinum/platinum-rhodium is used for high temperature applications.Temperature sensorsTemperature sensors are widely used in many industries to measure process temperature. These processes include manufacturing of industrial products, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, etc. Temperature sensors are used as a component in a temperature control system or as a standalone device when combined with an electronic display. The most common type of temperature sensor is RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) which has a resistance that varies with temperature. The resistance of the RTD increases with increase in temperature and decreases with decrease in temperature (or vice-versa depending on the type of RTD).Point level detection switchesPoint level detection switches are used to detect objects at a single level. The switches can be actuated by solids, liquids or gases.Point level switches are used for detecting the high and low levels of tanks, bins and silos. When the switch is actuated, it sends an alarm or starts a process. Depending on the process needs, point level switches can be used for low amount or high amount detection.Proximity sensorsThe best way to do this is by using a proximity sensor. A proximity sensor is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. Most of the time, these sensors are used to detect human presence e.g in an elevator it detects your presence and opens the door for you.The Proximity Sensor is based on Infrared technology for accurate operation. The sensor has a wide sensing range from 2cm-400cm with high reliability and stable readings. The output voltage will increase when the object comes closer to the sensor.Temperature Transmitter and sensors Temperature Transmitter and sensors are a great way to measure the temperature of objects. All you need is a thermocouple and a good thermocouple transmitter, and you can get all the information that you need about your object.Thermocouples are devices that use two wires made of different metals, which join together at one point. Thermocouples are used in many applications, but they are especially popular in science labs to measure temperatures. They work because when the two wires are joined together, they create a small amount of voltage; this voltage is then amplified with a thermocouple amplifier and recorded on an oscilloscope or other device.A thermocouple transmitter is another component of the system, which converts this voltage into an electric current. This current goes through an amplifier and then back to the oscilloscope or other device used in measuring the temperature. A temperature sensor can be connected to the oscilloscope to provide feedback about how hot or cold the object is.Temperature Transmitter and sensors can also be used for detecting magnetic fields, such as those found in magnets placed against magnetic material objects. The current from these magnets will cause the temperature sensor to change its resistance, allowing it to detect whether or not there is a magnetic field present.
