Stub ends are buttweld fittings that can be used to create flanged connections instead of welding neck flanges. Stub ends have two benefits: they can lower the overall cost of flanged joints for piping systems made of high-grade materials (since the lap joint flange doesn't have to be made of the same material as the pipe and the stub end, but can be of a lower grade), and they can speed up installation because the lap joint flange can be rotated to help with bolt hole alignment. The short and long pattern (ASA and MSS stub ends) of stub ends are offered in diameters up to 80 inches.

This Short Stub End is used in a variety of industries, including Stainless Steel Buttweld Short Stub End uses in Oil and Gas Pipeline, Butt weld Short Stub Ends uses in Chemical Industry, Alloy Steel Short Stub Ends uses in Plumbing, Buttweld Short Stub Ends uses in Heating, Buttweld Short Stub End Fittings uses in Water Supply Systems, ANSI B16.9 Buttweld Short Stub Ends uses in Power Plant, Buttweld Short Stub End Fitting uses in Paper & Pulp Industry, Short Stub End uses in General Purpose Applications, Buttweld Short Stub End uses in Fabrication Industry, Short Stub End uses in Food Processing Industry, Buttweld Short Stub Ends uses in Structural Pipe.
