Stardew Valley is a farming simulation that has undergone several changes since its initial release in 2016. Each update brings improved quality of life, new features, and other surprises. Regardless of the changes, some advice will never change.
At the start of the game, players create a character who inherits a plot of land and a small house once owned by their grandfather in Pelican Town. Players can choose from a variety of farm types, each with its own theme and set of advantages and disadvantages. Initially, the farmland is overrun with boulders, trees, stumps, and weeds, and players must work to clear them in order to restart the farm, tending to crops and livestock to generate revenue and further expand the farm's buildings and facilities. The game graphics is similar to Ultra pixel survive game and it's impressive.

Players may also interact with non-player characters (NPCs) who live in town, including engaging in romantic relationships with them; this can culminate in marriage, with the NPC assisting the player's character in farming. Fishing, cooking, crafting, and exploring procedurally generated caves with materials and ores to mine or creatures to battle are also options for players. Players can complete quests to earn extra money or specific collections of materials (called "bundles") to restore the town's Community Center or pay specific amounts of money to complete JojaMart bundles. Completing bundles grants players various items such as seeds and tools. Completing multiple bundles unlocks new areas and game mechanics, such as the desert. All of these activities must be balanced against the character's current state of health and exhaustion, as well as the game's internal clock. The player can eat food to gain buffs that are useful in certain activities and situations. Food also replenishes health and energy, allowing the player to complete more tasks in a given day. The game employs a simplified calendar, with each year consisting of four 28-day months representing each season, which determines which crops can be grown and which activities are beneficial. Later in the game, players can restore a greenhouse and an island capable of growing any crop regardless of season.
