The use of various social media platforms is common nowadays. Many people use them for different purposes, and they often consider these platforms as something positive and useful. Using social media for business purposes has also become rather habitual. In fact, social networking provides different benefits for different customers. For private persons, it gives the ability to communicate with people from all over the world, and get new knowledge. For firms and self-employed people, social media is widely used to promote themselves and find customers (Kumar, Varma and Pabboju, 2013). Nevertheless, using social media websites can be harmful in some cases, and various issues caused by social media should be known by users in order to prevent or eliminate them. For example, a very common issue related to social networking is the security of users. It may occur both for those who use social media for personal purposes and for business users. For instance, businesses using social networks often face such problems as cyber-attacks or leakage of private corporate information caused by employees spreading it online (Kumar et al., 2013). Thus, it is better to prevent such issues because their consequences may be serious for firms.

This source paragraph will fit in my paper because it represents several issues related to using social media, in particular, issues for businesses. It helps my argument, because it explains the most serious issues, and it becomes clear that it is better to prevent them in advance in order to avoid serious negative consequences. In the paragraph, I cited one journal article twice. I decided to paraphrase and summarize the information from the source. Using a quote was not acceptable because quotes would be too long. Moreover, the information that was summarized is taken from different parts of the article, which makes quoting not convenient. By summarizing the source, information was provided in a laconic and clear way.
