Are you living your life in this very moment? Not the life your in right now but the life by your design.

Are you in the home you want?
Are you in the car you want to drive?
Do you have the partner you want in your life?
Are you doing and living your passion?

If you answered no to any or all of those then your not being present in your life.

How often are you thinking and living in the world of IF? You might know this world, let me share it with you.

If we only lived in the big house down the road.
If I only got that raise.
If I get that perfect job then our life will be perfect.
If I just found the right opportunity then I would be set.

If can go on and on forever. But it doesn’t have to. You can stop living in the past or just dreaming about the future.

Start being present in your life.

When you are being present in your life things around you will change. The way you look at the world around you will change. There will be opportunities that will open up for you that were once overlook in your day.

When we spend time in the past your thoughts will start to create your next level of reality. When you worry about bills what happens, suddenly a bill that you had missed or overlooked suddenly appears. Or what about when we are driving and you are wandering off thinking about what you should have gotten done.

Wham – Crash -Crunch the sound of glass breaking and metal crushing. You are now slammed back to the present very quickly.

If you were in the present moment you would have seen the car heading your way and avoid the accident.  I know this is a big example but what about the simple ones in life.

Your partner asks you to make a phone call that will help deal with a bill you have. This call will make one of the bills be cut in half. While they were talking to you, you weren’t present in the conversation. Your mind was thinking about what needs to be done, what should be paid, the drive to work. At the end of the day your partner asks you if you made the call. Your response, what call.

They now storm off mad at you, the bill you had a chance to decrease stayed the same, not relieving some of the financial burden you feel. Had you been present, you would have made the call, cut the bill in half, release some of your stress.

It will take some time to really be present in your life. But with daily practice it will become habit, fun and enjoyable way of life.

How to be Present in Life

Let go of the past, nothing can be done about what has past in your life.
Forgive yourself for past mistakes, they are really just lessons learned.
Forgive others for what you feel they have done to you.
    Breath in the moment.
Listen. When the world speaks hear the sounds. Listen to the person talking to you.
Pay attention to your body. How it feels both inside and out
Feed the body, mind and spirit with books, audio, and meditation
Let Go. You can only control you.
